In this session we will start with an demonstration of how we implemented Vue.js on a Drupal 8 site for one of the biggest government agencies in Sweden. What hurdles did we encounter and was the effort worth it?
We had 100 days to build a video platform that would include a lot of different medias such as podcasts and videos, both live and on demand. We would need to build a lot of different lists that were dynamically altered with filters and paginations. An almost perfect case for vue.js.
In the past we usually built filtering solutions on our Drupal sites using jQuery and Drupal views. That approach could get very messy when building more complicated solutions so in this project we abandoned traditional jQuery for the more structured vue.js.
Our approach to this session is to discuss what road bumps we hit and what things worked out well for us. We will do a quick demo of the client case and show how we solved the implementation .
Then we hope that you will take part and share from your experiences and insights on how vue.js is implemented or perhaps will be implemented in your projects.
After the session we hope that we all got some new insights regarding implementing vue.js on a Drupal 8 site and learned something new.
